China Agrees to Record Boeing Purchase in Major US–China Trade Breakthrough
After a series of high-level meetings involving Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping, there have been assurances of a record purchase of 200 Boeing planes, with the possibility of raising this total to 750 planes. It is one of the key aspects of President Trump’s latest tour, whose goal was to open up new opportunities in the Chinese market for US-made aircrafts, food products, and technology. Apart from the planes, the USA will secure their supply chain of engine parts, and efforts are also underway to continue the present ceasefire on tariffs imposed and aim for substantial reductions on billions of dollars worth of imports. This breakthrough in trade relations comes amid calls for an end to the Chinese embargo on rare earth minerals.
